Please join us for the OTS meeting on Friday, October 2, starting at 7pm.  This meeting will be held by Zoom videoconference call, and we will email the log-in information the day before the meeting.  The topic of this meeting is about Medicare and Insurance – Time to Check up and Check in.   This is the time of year to review your Medicare and insurance plans, because the open enrollment period for Medicare starts on October 15, for coverage starting in January 2021.   Our speaker will be Lara Tushla, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Rush University Medical Center.  Lara has been the kidney and pancreas transplant social worker at Rush since 1998 and worked in an outpatient dialysis clinic for 6 years prior to that. 

Like everything else in life, things change.  That includes coverage through insurance plans!  At this OTS meeting Lara will help us to check our Medicare Part D plan to make sure it is the “best” option for us in 2021.  Spoiler alert… it’s worth checking every year.
