OUR MISSION
To provide transplant mentors with education, support, and resources so they may provide one-on-one support for pre-transplant patients, transplant recipients, and their families as they go through the transplant journey.
Because no one should go through this journey alone OTS can provide free, confidential support to transplant recipients and their families/caregivers. Our unique matching process partners potential and post-transplant recipients with an OTS mentor. We encourage anyone going through the transplant process to request a mentor who can understand, listen and support them during this time. We also encourage family members or caregivers of someone who is going through the transplant process to talk to them about requesting mentor support. OTS Mentors do not provide medical advice.

Why Become A Mentor
Using your experience to give back to someone else is an amazing and rewarding gift. The OTS Mentor Project Training Workshop was created for transplant recipients to enhance the special skills gained from their transplant journey and for caregivers supporting someone waiting for a transplant or a recent post-transplant recipient. Mentors are trained to provide psychosocial support, empathy and understanding to transplant families. Pre-transplant patients, transplant recipients, families and caregivers value the information and support shared by those who have been there.
