OTS Meeting Feb 4, 2022 Election of the OTS Board of Directors
The annual election of the Board of Directors for Organ Transplant Support will be held during the regular scheduled meeting on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022. This meeting and the election will be held on Zoom videoconference system. The Zoom login will be emailed to all members the day before the meeting.
There will be eight Board positions elected. A brief description of each position follows:
President: Principal Executive officer in charge of the business and affairs of OTS subject to direction from the Board.
Vice President: The Vice President shall assist the President and perform duties assigned by the President and the Board.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be the principal accounting and financial officer of OTS.
Recording Secretary: The Recording Secretary shall record the minutes of Member and Board
Meetings.
Registrar: Registrar shall insure that an accurate list of all active members is maintained.
Communications Secretary: The Communications Secretary shall be the officer in charge of media relations, internal communications and sending of informational notices, birthday, get well, thank you, sympathy, and anniversary cards.
Director-at-Large: The Director-at-Large shall assist with special projects as assigned by the President, including the set up and refreshments at the OTS meetings.
Mentor Program Manager: The Mentor Program Manager will be in charge of all activities relating to the OTS Mentor Program, with the assistance of all other board members.
If you would like to place your name on the ballot for consideration, please email info@organtransplantsupport.org by January 21, 2022 and indicate the position for which you would like to run. If we still have positions open and no candidates by that date, we will notify the membership via email blast.
The elections will be held at the OTS meeting on February 4, immediately before the speaker. If you know you cannot make the election meeting on February 4, absentee ballots and proxies will be available after January 21, 2022 by sending an email to OTS (info@organtransplantsupport.org) and putting Election Ballot in the subject line.
We welcome any member of OTS to consider running for a Board position. OTS is operated completely by volunteers, and as a member of the Board of Directors you can make a positive difference for transplant families in Chicago.
